Our Rooms
Two rooms, one family
We welcome children from 14 months through to 3 years, in two lovingly designed rooms.
14 Months - 2 yearsMitzvah Room
Our youngest explorers find their feet in the Mitzvah Room — a cosy, nurturing space designed for confident discovery. Through gentle routines, sensory play, and responsive care, each little one blossoms at their own beautiful pace.
2 – 3 yearsTorah Room
The Torah Room is where curiosity takes flight. Our two and three-year-olds engage in Montessori-inspired activities, early Jewish learning, creative play, and meaningful friendships — all within a warm, structured environment.

Meet Our Director
Chaya Raskin
For 40 years, Chaya Raskin has dedicated her life to children — raising 16 of her own while nurturing generations within the Melbourne Jewish community. What began as a heartfelt calling has grown into one of the most trusted and beloved early childhood centres.
Chaya brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep, genuine love for early childhood development into every single day at the Creche. Her philosophy is simple yet profound: every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and truly celebrated for who they are.
Guided by Chabad values and a deep respect for each child's individuality, Chaya has helped shape thousands of young lives — and the families who cherish them.

Our Inspiration
The Lubavitcher Rebbe
Chaya's Creche is inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory. The Rebbe placed tremendous emphasis on the sanctity and potential of every Jewish child, teaching that education begins from the very earliest age.
"The world was created for my sake" — each child must know they are precious, unique, and infinitely valuable.
